A Weekend in the Country

It's not just a Sondheim song, folks. (Sorry for the musical theatre reference. I just couldn't help myself.) This weekend I got out of the city and flew to Providence, RI for a stunning New England wedding. The wedding was at a Catholic church in East Providence, and the reception was held at the stunning Sakonnet Vineyards in Little Compton, RI (http://www.sakonnetwine.com) . The wine, of course, was delicious, as was dinner: an old-fashioned New England Lobster Bake. Below you can see the pictures of the chefs giving a little talk and demonstration of how the food was prepared before they revealed a feast beneath the damp canvas that had been cooking for over two hours. It's always good to have New Englanders around when you're shelling a lobster. Although I've done it before...I always seem to need a little instruction! Well, back to the twists and turns of toothpaste for me...sorry....it's a line from Willy Wonka. Do I need a life or what?
